Gymedix FAQ
Questions about training on GLP-1 medications.
Longevity training at Gymedix combines progressive resistance training, individualized mobility work, and monthly movement assessments. Unlike a standard gym program built around generic workouts, we assess each client's movement quality, strength, and body composition before writing any program. Every session includes a personalized mobility warm-up addressing your specific restrictions, followed by strength and hypertrophy work adjusted to where your body is right now. We focus on the markers that matter for long-term health such as muscle mass, single-leg balance, mobility, and movement quality rather than short-term intensity.
Gymedix trains people who want to stay active, capable, and independent for life. Most of our clients are adults who refuse to accept that slowing down is inevitable. They want to keep hiking, playing with their grandkids, traveling, golfing, gardening, and doing the activities that make their life worth living without their body being the thing that stops them. Some come to us after physical therapy. Some are on GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and want to preserve muscle while losing weight. Some are office workers tired of feeling stiff and weak from years at a desk. What they all share is a decision to invest in their body now so they stay doing what they love for decades to come.
Coach Dani Honarchi holds a Health and Exercise Sciences degree from the University of Oklahoma and specializes in movement assessment, muscular rehabilitation, and corrective exercise. Coach Nima Honarchi has 15 years of strength training experience, holds a NASM personal training certification, and placed 2nd in men's physique at an IFBB competition. Together they cover both the mobility and strength sides of longevity training, with both coaches on the floor during every session.
Your first session is a combination of a movement assessment, collecting body metrics and a consulation. You meet Dani and Nima, who will talk to you about your goals, where you are at currently and what would be the best path forward.
We test your squat, ankle mobility, thoracic mobility, hip rotation, hamstring flexibility, shoulder mobility, and any specific pain points you mention. We take baseline weight, body fat percentage using calipers, and measurements. Then we discuss what we found and what a program would look like. No pressure, no commitment.
Sessions run four days per week. Monday and Wednesday we have sessions from 5:30pm to 7:00pm and from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Saturday and Sunday we have sessions from 8:00am to 9:30am and from 9:30am to 11:00am. Each session is up to 90 minutes long, capped at 5 clients with 2 coaches on the floor.
As we are getting more clients, new timeslots will come up. So if any of these times does not work for you, we will figure out a solution.
